Why Our Post?

VFW Post 1161 holds 11 monthly meetings each year (Jan-Nov).
December is our Christmas Luncheon.

Meetings usually last about an hour with coffee and cookies served afterwards.
It’s a great time to talk to old buddies and meet new members.
That’s only 1 hour each month to receive benefits that no other local VFW Post offers.

An active (dues paid) member attending a minimum of six (6) meetings and participating in Post fundraising events over a twelve (12) month period receives the following Post benefits:
•  A $50 check for his/her birthday
•  A $50 check per quarter for doctor-ordered prescriptions.
(Prescription receipts of $100 are required for each quarter.)
•  A $150 check for three (3) days or more of hospitalization. (one stay per year)
•  Free Christmas luncheon with a guest at our annual VFW Christmas luncheon.

To receive these benefits
YOU MUST ATTEND AT LEAST 6 MEETINGS AND
ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN FUNDRAISING EVENTS.
